damaged skin - pigmentation disorders - uv lights

Ultraviolet light, also known as natural light, is an effective method of treating a range of skin disorders. It can be used alone or in combination with other medications applied directly to the skin or taken internally. It can be used to successfully treat:

  • Psoriasis
  • Eczema
  • Skin pigmentation disorders
  • Acne

The Treatment
Phototherapy is prescribed after an evaluation by your dermatologist, who will take into consideration your medical history and skin condition. The skin is exposed to a particular band of the non-visible light spectrum. We also offer narrow band UV treatment, which is the safest and alternative treatment for patients with very fair skin which is a common Irish skin type.

Aftercare
Patients should follow their dermatologist’s treatment instructions exactly.
